The AERO-CAM Camera mount is a gyro stabilized mount that is designed to accommodate virtually any professional field production video camera and many film cameras currently in use. The AERO-CAM can be installed in most helicopters and is suitable for camera cars and other specialized applications.
Packed for air shipment, the AERO-CAM togetherwith supporting platform and footrest, weigh less than 50 pounds per case. The complete system can be checked as luggage on commercial air carriers.
The AERO-CAM provides the camera operator with variable weight compensation for loads from 5 to 40 pounds and has a patented tension system that counter ballances the camera and allows is to be moved freely with minimal force.
This enables the camera to fell virtually weightless to the operator yet achieve the same result as larger and heavier mounts. The weight saved has a measurabled effect allowing helicopters increased performance and the ability to take on a greater fuel load, which allows for more time in the air.
Additionally, the AERO-CAM mount can rotate 360 degrees atound the support column and the camera support arm can be rotated to put the camera on either side of the camera operator, makind it extremely convenient to move the mount to either side of the helicopter. These features also make it possible for the camera operator to face forward and still shoot out of the side of the helicopter while remaining safety inside the aircraft.
